Marty Reed

DVM

Dr. Reed graduated from Mississippi State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. He practiced in Carthage, Mississippi before moving his family to Millington in 1990. He purchased North Shelby in 2001 and it has become a family affair since his wife and son also work there.

Dr. Reed is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Assn., TN & MS Veterinary Medical Assns., and Memphis/Shelby Co. Veterinary Medical Assn. He also sits on the board of directors for the Animal Emergency Center in Memphis.

In his spare time, Dr. Reed likes to work on old vehicles, go camping, and he loves to cook. He and his family share their home with a menagerie of four-legged friends, including a cocker spaniel mix named Grace who goes to work with him every day.

Meet Hannah Cantrell!

Q: What makes you, you?
I’m funny, determined, and totally in love with marine life!

Q: Where are you currently studying?
I’m attending the University of Martin at Tennessee.

Q: What are your favorite hobbies?
Scuba diving and dancing are at the top of my list. I’m proud to be Advanced Scuba Certified!

Q: Do you have any pets?
Yes! I have two wonderful dogs:

Since we are a small practice, most of our staff is cross-trained in multiple positions. They all pitch in and work where they are needed whether it is as receptionist, veterinary assistant, and working in the kennels.

Kathy Reed

Kathy started working part time in January of 2008 while in college at University of TN at Martin. She graduated from UTM in 2011 with a B.S. in Animal Science and in 2013 with a B.S. in Veterinary Technology. She received her license in April 2014.  She started working full time at Petmed Emergency Center in June 2013 while remaining part time here at NSAH. In September of 2015 she became full time as technician and office manager. She enjoys spending time with her family and taking her dogs Rue and Franklin for walks. What she enjoys most about work is learning new things and cuddling with puppies and kittens.

Malin Fite

Malin is a veterinary assistant who started in December 2019. She is very family oriented and likes to meet new people. She enjoys gardening, fishing, and outdoor activities. She has 3 dogs- a mix breed (Olive), a Beagle (Bert), and Blue Tick Hound (Memphis), and 1 cat (Johnny). Her favorite thing about work is meetings pets and owners, being around other animal lovers, and loving on all patients.
